Slotcar Rules

Lanes Raceway Track Rules

The following Rules will be enforced for everyone.

EVERYONE in the race must turn marshal when sitting out. You are only allowed to work on your car during the 3 minute lane rotation. All cars during sit out must be placed in the cutout window going into the shop while the race is running.  If you do not turn marshal during your sit out 10 Laps will be deducted from your race per heat that you miss being a turn marshal. All racers as well as track director should enforce this rule.

2 Minute Heats

3 Minute Lane Rotations – During the 3 minutes you are able to work on your car at your pit area. All cars should be on the track before this timer is over. Timer will be displayed on all TV’s during the race. All sit outs must have their car in the cutout window by the shop before this time expires and ready to turn marshal. 10 Lap penalty will apply if car is not in the window.

Place identifiable sticker on the side of track when you sit out or finish the race with additional heats left. This will be required if you are on the same lap as someone else. If no sticker is on the track you will be scored at the start line of the lap you are on.

Track timer will only be delayed if someone is in the bathroom or a fast gear adjustment. Extensive repair to the car will not be waited on. You are able to put your car on the track after your repairs are made.

Track calls will be as minimal as possible.

Claim Rules and Motor Swap are not meant to create issues. The claim is $10 more than buying a car new for the class.
